Vanuatu is in the Pacific Ocean, approx 1900km  North-East of Brisbane (map 1).

The island of Espiritu Santo (Santo for short) is the largest Island in Vanuatu and is located in the northern part of the Vanuatu island group (map 2).

Aoredise is on Aore Island, right on the shores of Segond Channel, a 2km wide, 60m deep stretch of water that runs between Santo and Aore Island (map 3).
