Christmas at Aoredise – your own private piece of paradise on Aore Island.

Dreaming of a tropical Christmas? Spend Christmas and New Year at Aoredise on Aore Island, Vanuatu, with a private beach, warm water and no crowds.

What if Christmas looked a little different this year?

For many of us, Christmas follows much the same pattern every year.

Shopping. Cooking. Traffic. Family gatherings. More cooking. More people. And before you know it, Christmas Day is over and you're wondering where it went.

But Christmas doesn't have to be that way.

Imagine waking up on Christmas morning, walking straight out onto your own private beach, swimming in warm tropical water and having breakfast overlooking the ocean.

No crowds.

No rushing.

No packed resort pool.

Just the sound of the water, the breeze through the trees and another beautiful day on Aore Island.

That's Christmas at Aoredise.

Christmas on a private beach

Aoredise is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom holiday house sitting directly on the waterfront of Aore Island, just across the water from Luganville on Espiritu Santo.

The house sits on half an acre with around 35 metres of private beachfront.

And over Christmas, that space becomes your own little piece of paradise.

You can start the morning with a swim, grab a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and explore the water, or simply find a shady spot and do absolutely nothing.

There is no need to rush off to the next Christmas activity.

That's rather the point.

Christmas lunch with a view

One of the best things about spending Christmas somewhere tropical is that Christmas lunch doesn't have to mean sitting inside.

At Aoredise, you can enjoy a relaxed Christmas lunch overlooking the water, followed by an afternoon swim or a lazy afternoon in the hammock.

There is a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals, along with a BBQ area and our traditional-style Nakamal.

So whether your idea of Christmas lunch is a big family feast, something cooked on the BBQ or a simple meal of fresh local produce, you can do it your way.

And if you don't feel like cooking much at all, that's perfectly fine too.

It's Christmas.

Relax.

No schedule, no crowds – just time to relax.

A slower kind of Christmas

A stay at Aoredise isn't about organised Christmas entertainment, crowded swimming pools or a timetable of activities.

It's about having the freedom to decide what you want to do.

Maybe you'll spend the morning exploring Aore Island.

Maybe you'll take the kayak out onto the water.

Maybe you'll cycle along the island roads.

Maybe you'll head into Luganville for supplies or explore some of Espiritu Santo's incredible sights.

Or perhaps you'll spend most of the day on the beach and wonder why you ever made plans in the first place.

There is something very appealing about having nowhere you need to be.

And then there's the Nakamal

One of the special features of Aoredise is our Nakamal.

It's a traditional-style outdoor area overlooking the water and is the perfect place for a long, relaxed afternoon.

Over Christmas and New Year, it becomes an especially good spot for a BBQ, a few drinks and watching the boats out on the water as the afternoon slips into evening.

It's also a good reminder that Christmas doesn't need to be complicated.

Good food.

Good company.

A beautiful view.

That's enough.

Christmas doesn't mean giving up the things you enjoy

Although Aoredise is peaceful and private, there's plenty to do when you want to explore.

Aore Island is surrounded by beautiful tropical water, making it ideal for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and swimming.

You can also explore Espiritu Santo, visit local markets, discover beaches and attractions around Luganville, or simply enjoy the island at your own pace.

And when you've had enough exploring?

Come back to Aoredise.

A Christmas away from the crowds

One of the reasons guests choose Aoredise is because they aren't looking for a large resort experience.

Aoredise is private.

It's peaceful.

And there are no crowds.

With only two bedrooms, it is particularly suited to couples, families or friends looking for their own space rather than a busy resort environment.

If you're looking for Christmas in Vanuatu but want something more personal and private, a holiday house on Aore Island offers a very different experience.

You aren't sharing the pool with dozens of other guests.

You aren't fighting for a poolside lounger.

And you don't have to follow somebody else's schedule.

You simply have your own tropical home for the duration of your stay.

If you've been thinking about escaping the usual Christmas routine, there is still time to plan something different.
